Lithium chemistry for physiological analysis and the Biochrom 30Plus is IVD certified. Thus, it is the only amino acid analyser may be used according to the IVD guidelines PKU-and MSUD analysis for clinical diagnostic purposes.
The Biochrom 30Plus amino acid analyser is a PC-controlled chromatography system specially developed for routine analysis. It is designed for fast, accurate and reliable routine analysis of amino acids in clinical and pharmaceutical applications, for the food and feed industry, proteomics and other applications.
It is based on the proven ninhydrin detection method prescribed in official/legal analysis procedures and represents the technical pinnacle of over 30 years of experience in this field. The consistent use of inert materials such as PEEK and ceramics, as well as ion exchange columns, elution buffers and reagents adapted to the respective applications, guarantee reliable analysis and ensure a long service life.
The complete system consists of an analyser, sample feeder and PC system with control software installed on it.

The autosampler
Variable HPLC injection system with temperature control of samples. Model: Alias. Variable injection volume from 1 to 200 µl of standard. Freely programmable for each sample. Partial loop fill with less than 20 µl sample loss. Microlitre-pick-up mode without sample loss by additional transport liquid. Flushed-loop mode for the injection of the total sample volume. Supplied standard sample loop of 200 µl. Other sample loops for example 20, 50 and up to 5000 µl available as an option.

If you are still running a Windows 10 PC, Biochrom 30Plus can also be operated on it, in both 32-bit and 64-bit mode. (However, this is no longer recommended due to Microsoft's discontinuation of Windows 10.)

BioSys control software
The Biochrom 30Plus comes with the tried-and-tested BioSys control software. This software allows you to manually control all functions of the Biochrom 30Plus and older Biochrom models. BioSys displays all parameters, such as temperatures, pressures and switching states, and detects errors in the system. Depending on their severity, error messages trigger appropriate responses, ranging from warning messages to termination of the analysis.
A programme mode allows sample sequences to be processed automatically using different methods, enabling 24/7 routine operation without the need for extensive intervention. Reagent management ensures that warnings are issued before buffers and reagents run out. In edit mode, an unlimited number of analysis programmes can be programmed, enabling constant access to a wide variety of analysis methods. The software is easy to install and set up. BioSys is available in versions for Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems with 32 and 64 bits.
